Model Kit

This model kit recreates the state-of-the-art F-35C Lightning II in easy to manage and display 1/72 scale. It inherits many of the detailed features first seen in the 1/48 scale release. Thanks to extensive research on the full-size subject, the C variant of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II model is poised to be the definitive model in 1/72 scale!

The F-35C is a carrier-based variant designed for catapult-assisted take-off, barrier arrested recovery operations from aircraft carriers. Compared to the F-35A, the F-35C features larger wings with foldable wing tip sections, larger control surfaces for improved low-speed control, stronger landing gear for the stresses of carrier arrested landings, a twin-wheel nose gear, and a stronger tailhook for use with carrier arrestor cables. The larger wing area allows for decreased landing speed while increasing both range and payload.

  • Masking stickers for the canopy and a realistically recreated seated pilot figure with Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) included
