The sport of off-roading is very competitive. It requires special vehicles to deal with the rough desert surface. The challenge to the Ford SVT (Special Vehicles Team) group was to build a truck designed to handle the roughest roads, but still be comfortable on the street. Just standing still, the Raptor is one “cool” truck.

The SVT group made sure that the Raptor could handle it all, inside and out. It is powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 with 411 horsepower and 434 pounds of torque. It can do 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds. The suspension features extra-long travel for extreme off-roading or even rock climbing. Even the wheels have a patented bead-lock system, which keeps the tires on the rims at very low pressures.
