The NEXX Racing Kyosho Mini-Z MR03 and MR04 2WD Dual-Function Spool and Ball Differential Set is an optional upgrade designed for the Kyosho Mini-Z MR-03 and MR-04 2WD platforms. This set includes both a ball differential and a spool, giving Mini-Z drivers the ability to choose between two different rear-drive behaviors depending on their track surface, driving style, or tuning goals.
The ball differential setup uses internal balls running against smooth plates to let the left and right wheels rotate at slightly different speeds. This helps the car stay stable and predictable through corners, especially on tight layouts or lower-grip surfaces. The spool setup locks both rear wheels together so they always rotate at the same speed. This creates sharper, more direct acceleration and a connected feel, and it can also make the car push harder in corners. By including both systems in one package, the set lets Mini-Z drivers experiment with the smooth cornering of a ball differential or the immediate throttle response of a spool, depending on what feels best for their driving style.
