The Leopard 2A6 main battle tank is a key variant of the world-renowned German Leopard 2 tank family. Building on the proven protection design of the Leopard 2A5, the most notable feature of the Leopard 2A6 is its upgraded armament, the Rheinmetall 120mm Rh-120 L/55 smoothbore gun, which boasts a muzzle velocity of up to 1,750 m/s.

It’s powered by a 1,500-horsepower turbocharged diesel engine, delivering excellent acceleration and a maximum road speed of 72 km/h. The tank also features composite armor with outstanding protective capabilities. The turret is equipped with wedge-shaped armor modules on the front, enhancing its defense against chemical energy munitions. All these features make it one of the most powerful main battle tanks of the early 21st century.
