The JD‑1D “Jig Dog” Invader was the U.S. Navy’s utility version of the Douglas A‑26 Invader adapted for naval use post‑World War II. Nicknamed “Jig Dog”, these aircraft were painted in bright, high‑visibility liveries to distinguish them during secondary missions and minimize risk during fleet exercises.
