The Renault AG 1 car first appeared in 1907. The main in the AG1 series was a car up to 10-12 hp with a closed body for two passengers and a simple canopy over the driver’s seat.

Due to the strength and reliability of these cars from 1908-1914 it became the most popular Parisian taxi (more than 2000 pieces).

On September 5-6, 1914, 1300 Parisian Renault AG1 were used by the French army to transport 6,000 soldiers from Paris to the Battle of the Marne, where the French troops stopped the German offensive.
