The first-ever production turbo car for BMW and any European car maker, it combined power, precision, and a distinctive style that made it an instant classic. Powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine, the 2002 Turbo was the first production BMW to feature an exhaust turbocharger, delivering exhilarating performance as well as thrilling driving dynamics. Its bold, aggressive design and racing pedigree cemented its place as a true automotive icon.

Under the hood, the 1/10th scale version of the BMW 2002 Turbo is equipped with the HPI Racing Sport 3 touring car chassis! With a full-time shaft drive, fully sealed 4WD drivetrain, waterproof electronics, 2.4GHz radio gear, fully independent double wishbone suspension and adjustable oil-filled shocks it’s Ready to Rock in all conditions. It's got plenty of power for 4-wheel drifts and jaw-dropping speeds at the pull of a trigger!

This officially licensed, meticulously crafted body captures the spirit of the original, featuring its aggressive front end, distinctive side stripes, and iconic "Turbo" badge. It’s a perfect tribute to the car that defined the performance hatchback era, now brought to life for RC enthusiasts.

Whether you're a classic car enthusiast, an experienced RC hobbyist, or simply someone who enjoys the thrill of RC driving, the HPI Racing Sport 3 with the BMW 2002 Turbo bodyshell delivers. This officially licensed BMW 2002 Turbo replica is designed in a 200mm width, making it compatible with today’s 1/10th scale touring cars. Crafted from high-strength polycarbonate, the bodyshell is molded in two pieces and hand-finished with clear windows. HPI is confident you’ll agree it perfectly captures the spirit of the original, while taking HPI Racing bodyshells to the next level.

The attention to detail is evident, with plastic scale accents like chrome mirrors, light surrounds, bumpers, and the iconic BMW grille badge. The plastic rear spoiler and front and rear light buckets complete this stunning, authentic shell.

The Sport 3 chassis can fit lithium-polymer (LiPo) and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) packs of various sizes, including the extra-long 7-cell NiMH packs. Whatever your power requirements, it can hold it all! A thick hook-and-loop strap holds the pack securely in place, and a simple battery block screws into place to allow you to adjust the weight distribution forward or backward for extra steering or acceleration.

The suspension of the Sport 3 uses the race-proven double-wishbone suspension design, similar to a full-scale modern race car. You’ll be able to control the anti-squat and anti-dive of the front and rear arms using the standard pivot blocks, and the option parts allow you to adjust the sweep and toe angles. You'll also be able to easily change the roll center front and rear with the racing-style vertical ballstud mounting on both the inner and outer camber link mounts. Multiple shock mounting positions provide a full range of shock suspension angle adjustment to suit different road conditions.
