The Montana Northland is a freelance class one model railroad created by Neal Roggensack. The era modeled by Neal is the mid to late 1970's. Primary commodities are grain, lumber, and mining industries. Interchange and overhead traffic originates in Canada, Portland, OR, and Salt Lake City, UT. This great model railroad is one of several amazing model railroads in the La Crosse WI area and is part of the operating model railroad group RiverRail.

This model is manufactured by Tangent Scale Models and is an exclusive freelance paint scheme for Home Shops. The Tangent PS-4427 High-Side covered hopper is is a gorgeous model that comes with CNC-Machined 36" wheels, metal roof walks and end cross walks, Kadee metal couplers, correct weight, rotating bearing caps, and crisp paint detail.
