HMHS Britannic was the third and largest of the Olympic-class ocean liners built by the White Star Line, alongside her sister ships RMS Olympic and the infamous RMS Titanic. Originally intended to be a luxury passenger liner named RMS Britannic, she was converted into a hospital ship during World War I and commissioned as His Majesty’s Hospital Ship (HMHS) Britannic.
