The IJN Jūnyō (meaning “Peregrine Falcon”) was a converted passenger liner turned aircraft carrier for the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II.

Although slower and less capable than purpose-built fleet carriers, she played a significant role in mid- to late-war operations, often serving as a strike carrier early on and later as a transport and training ship.

Hasegawa is well known for producing high-quality, highly detailed model kits across a wide range of subjects. They’ve been in the hobby industry since the early 1960s and have a reputation for sharp mold quality, accurate scaling, and interesting kit subjects.
