Dragon Models 6440 1/35 Bison II 15cm s.IG 33 (Sfl.) auf Pz.Kpfw.II
Model Kit
This 1/35 scale kit depicts the unusual but highly effective German Bison II self-propelled heavy infantry gun, mounting the powerful 15cm s.IG 33 howitzer on a modified Panzer II chassis. Developed as an expedient battlefield solution during World War II, the Bison II was part of Germany’s early-war push to give mobile support artillery to armored formations, combining the devastating firepower of a heavy infantry gun with the mobility of a light tank platform. Though top-heavy and only lightly armored, it proved valuable in urban combat and against fortified positions on the Eastern Front and in North Africa.
This Dragon kit captures the vehicle’s distinctive open-topped superstructure and cramped fighting compartment with finely molded detail throughout the chassis, gun assembly, and interior components.
