The history of the model dates back to 1944, when the Willys-Overland company created a military off-road vehicle. A year later, its civilian version, the CJ-2A, was created. The first civilian Willys rolled off the production line at the Willys-Overland factory in Toledo (Ohio) on July 17, 1945.
A few days later, a media presentation was held, led by Vice President of the Board, Charles Sorensen. The event took place at his new, 2,000-acre ranch in Hudson, Michigan. Sorensen emphasized the Jeep's versatility - its usefulness in farm work, forestry, guarding and as a tow truck.
The model is equipped with specially designed elements that faithfully reflect the appearance of the original vehicle: a convex hood, a vertical grill with crossbars, clearly outlined fenders and classic, round headlights. In addition, the vehicle has rotating wheels, so you can not only admire it, but also play with it. Thanks to its compact scale (10cm long and 5cm high), the model is perfect for display, e.g. on a shelf, desk or in a display case.
