Class One Model Works FC01026 PS 3000CD Two-Bay Hopper Louisville & Nashville L&N 280005
The Pullman-Standard PS 3000CD Two-Bay Covered Hopper from Class One Model Works captures a freight car design that became a staple of North American rail transportation beginning in the late 1960s. Designed for hauling grain, fertilizer, and other dry bulk commodities, the PS 3000CD combined efficient loading capacity with a compact two-bay configuration that allowed it to serve a wide range of customers and industries. These cars could be found on railroads across the continent and remained in service for decades, often appearing in unit grain trains, local freight service, and private leasing fleets.
