Castle Creations 010-0115-06 SV3 Sidewinder 3 Waterproof ESC and 5700KV Sensored Brusless Motor Combo
Don’t Be Afraid to Get Wet!
Sidewinder 3 with 1406-4600Kv sensored* brushless motor is the perfect waterproof** combo for 1:10 scale off-road, on-road, and rock crawlers running up to 3S LiPo***. It sports updated circuitry for faster response time and improved reliability. This combo now comes with our new sensored* motor. While the sensored capabilities of the motor cannot be utilized with the Sidewinder 3, users will benefit as the sensored motor is rebuildable (parts available soon), and this design even allows modelers to replace damaged motor wires. The Sidewinder 3 Combo will give you exceptional response and performance right of the box!
This combo includes a Sidewinder 3 ESC and 1406-5700Kv sensored* motor. The 1406-5700kv motor is a great motor for 2WD short course trucks on 2s LiPo and geared conservatively. It makes a great combo for 1/10th 2WD Stadium trucks and buggies on 2s for general bashing and limited runs on 3s; temperatures will climb quickly on 3s. It makes a great upgrade for 1/10th scale on-road cars for 2s and 3s use. NOT for use in 4WD short course trucks. Please refer to our Gearing Chart for recommended motor, battery and gearing for some of the more popular vehicles on the market.

* Sensored capabilities of the motor cannot be utilized with the Sidewinder 3. If you require sensored operation you will need a sensored ESC like the Mamba X. The Mamba X paired with the same motor can be found here.
**Not intended for operation while submerged in liquid. If unit is operated in wet conditions, rinse with fresh water to remove dirt or corrosives, then fully dry unit.
***Brushed motors are recommended for rock crawlers (vehicles traveling 3-5mph.) Brushless motors are fine for use with rock racing. If your vehicle is going to be in a bound up situation, very slowly traversing rocks and obstacles, you are running a rock crawler. If you are constantly traveling at 5mph or higher, you have a rock racer.
