Bethlehem Car Works 4700 HO Scale Erie Lackawanna Modernized Coach Kit

Built between 1927 and 1929 by the Pullman Co. for Erie, these cars feature a unique sloped end streamlined roof. These cars ride on Commonwealth top-equalized trucks. The cars were modernized at the Erie's Susquehanna, Pa shops starting in 1946. Some of the modernizations included electro-mechanical Air Conditioning and Haywood-Wakefield reclining seats. Many of these cars remained in Erie paint until being sold or retired, current version will be supplied with Erie Lackawanna decals. Four cars numbers: 1001, 1012, 1014, and 1021 were sold to the D&H in May of 1967. If your looking for the D&H version of this kit check out Accurate Custom Finishing. Five of these cars were sold to the Midwest Railway Historical Foundation in 1969. Two of the MRHF cars were then sold to the Detroit and Mackinac, which then sold to Steamtown, and finally the pair ended up on the Susquehanna.
