Banta Modelworks 2143 HO Scale Lewis Mill Craftsman Kit

The kit is composed of a laser cut MDF core overlaid with laser cut siding and individual strip wood siding plus laser cut windows and doors. The kit is based on the actual Lewis Mill located above Telluride, Colorado at about 12,450ft. It was built in the late 1800's and still stands today in preserved condition.

This version of the Mill has a few changes in the siding and the dock area. The original mill did not have railroad access so Banta made a slight change to the dock for freight cars and changed the lower heavy timber foundation a bit to better fit the model. The original mill was covered in wood with a tar-paper roof, this is what this model depicts.

HO scale is 9" wide  x 11 1/2", the water tank is included but not in the footprint dimensions, it sits behind the mill.
