Bachmann 70810 HO Scale National Steel Car 60'9" Hi-Cube Boxcar Union Pacific UP 700097
First produced in Hamilton, Ontario, in the late 1990s, the NSC 60' 9" Hi-Cube Boxcar is emblematic of modern boxcar design, featuring a double plug door, vertical outside bracing, and “Plate F” excess height construction for maximum loading capacity. This popular car is primarily used in newsprint, appliance, and non-perishable consumable service, and can be found operating with a number of railroads and equipment leasing companies in both the United States and Canada. Developed to specifications requested by TTX, the general dimensions and styling were also adopted by other railcar manufacturers.
Bachmann is delighted to introduce this essential modern freight car to their HO Scale rolling stock range, newly-tooled with authentic dimensions, accurately reproduced paint schemes, and separately applied details.
