Lower surface color in the initial version of the Temperate Sea Scheme of Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm aircraft (except for fighters) used from 1939 until ca. September 1940. A fair equivalent to the so-called Russian Grey used as an overall color of Soviet/Russian interceptors (MiG-25, MiG-31, some MiG-23) from the 1970s.
