Recreate one of the most successful submarines of the Imperial Japanese Navy with this highly detailed 1/350 scale model of I-19, a Type B1 long-range fleet submarine that became one of Japan’s most famous undersea vessels of World War II. Designed for extended reconnaissance and offensive missions across the vast Pacific, Type B1 submarines combined powerful torpedo armament with a small reconnaissance aircraft capability, allowing them to scout enemy naval movements far from Japanese bases. I-19 achieved historic notoriety in September 1942 when it launched a devastating torpedo attack that sank the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Wasp and also damaged the battleship USS North Carolina in the same engagement.
