The F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo was developed by Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation as a lightweight multirole fighter designed to meet national defense requirements when access to advanced foreign fighters was limited. Entering service in the 1990s, the aircraft incorporated modern avionics, digital flight controls, and a combination of air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities.
