Originally developed during World War II as the U.S. Army’s replacement for the M5 Stuart, the M24 Chaffee continued to serve around the world long after the war ended. During the First Indochina War (1946–1954), French forces relied on the agile Chaffee to provide vital armored support in difficult jungle and mountainous terrain, including the famous Battle of Dien Bien Phu. This 1/35 scale kit accurately depicts a French-operated Indochina War vehicle with finely detailed hull and turret components, a highly detailed suspension, individual track links, and theater-specific equipment and markings. Featuring crisp molding and authentic French Army decals, it offers an excellent opportunity to recreate one of the most historically significant armored vehicles of France’s final campaign in Indochina.
