The Avenger Pedestal Mounted Stinger Turret is a highly mobile short-range air defense system developed for the U.S. Army to provide rapid protection against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial threats. Mounted on a lightweight pedestal system, the Avenger combines FIM-92 Stinger surface-to-air missiles with a .50 caliber machine gun, advanced targeting equipment, and day/night engagement capability.
