The AFV Club AF35227 1/35 AEC Armoured Command Vehicle Dorchester ACV Model Kit recreates one of the most important Allied command vehicles of World War II. Built on the chassis of the British AEC Matador, the Dorchester ACV provided mobile battlefield headquarters for senior officers, allowing commanders to coordinate operations from a protected and highly mobile platform. Nicknamed “Dorchester” by British troops, these vehicles were used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces and famously served with commanders including Bernard Montgomery and other senior Allied leaders during campaigns in North Africa and Europe.
