This easy-to-assemble Accurail Bi-Level Open Auto Rack kit is based on cars that have been carrying vehicles over the rails since the 1960s. Bi-level cars of this type lowered shipping costs and won back much of the new car traffic for the railroads. Equipped with two decks, cars of this type were used to move light trucks from assembly plants to regional distribution centers. This model kit features a one-piece detailed injection-molded plastic body with most details molded in place for durability during operation. Other features include realistic decoration with end reporting marks (on decorated models), underbody details, trucks with Delrin wheelsets, nonmagnetic axles and AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers.
