The M2A2 Bradley proved its combat effectiveness during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, where the U.S. Army’s heavily armed infantry fighting vehicle combined mobility, firepower, and battlefield survivability in fast-moving armored operations across Iraq. Upgraded from earlier Bradley variants with enhanced armor protection and improved battlefield systems, the M2A2 carried infantry squads while delivering substantial firepower through its 25mm Bushmaster chain gun, TOW anti-tank missiles, and coaxial machine gun.
