This is a 1:72 scale model replica of the US carrier-based, all-weather fighter aircraft F/A-18C HORNET. This excellent fighter was constructed for the US Navy and the Marine Corps for operation from aircraft carriers of the Nimitz class. The fighter is capable of engaging at great distances targets in the air, on land, and at sea. On September 3, 1986, the flight testing of the improved variant F/A-18C with upgraded radar, avionics, and armament started. Since 1986, the F/A-18 has been engaged in many very significant US military operations, including securing air superiority, reconnaissance, airspace surveillance, and air-to-ground strikes. This kit contains over 100 transparent and plastic parts for a faithful recreation of the F/A-18C from VFA-82 "Marauders". The fully assembled model is 24.1cm long and 6.6cm tall.
