Serving as a frontline fighter during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Mitsubishi Zero's first incarnation was the Model 21. The Model 21 was outfitted with 50cm folding wingtips, a landing hook, and a radio direction finder for long-range carrier-based operations. The aircraft was also armed with powerful 20 mm cannon and possessed a range of 3000km. The Model 21 is best known for participating in the Pearl Harbor attack and the Philippine invasion. This 1/48 scale model kit authentically replicates the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2b Model 21 Zero Fighter, honoring the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway. The fully assembled model is 18.5cm long and 7.5cm tall.
