ACADEMY 12327 1/48 Focke-Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein Jet
Model Kit
Focke-Wulf Ta-183 Huckebein was an experimental German jet fighter intended to replace the Me-262 if Germany had been able to hold off the Allied invasion. The Ta-183 featured many ground-breaking characteristics including swept wings, a fuselage-mounted jet engine, and the first air-to-air guided missiles. Though a prototype was never completed, the Ta-183 heavily influenced the design of the Soviet MiG-15 and US F-86 Sabre. Academy's 1/48 scale model of the Focke-Wulf Ta-183 Huckebein includes markings for six hypothetical aircraft. The finished model is 198.1mm long and 88.9mm high.
