The Hughes 500D is a light utility helicopter introduced in 1967. The Hughes 500 has proven very popular in civilian, military, and law enforcement roles due to its low cost and ease of maintenance. Many are still in use today. This 1/48 scale kit from Academy replicated the police version of the Hughes 500D with markings for the California Highway Patrol.
