The Sopwith Camel F.1 was perhaps the best Allied fighter of WWI. It shot down 1,924 aircraft in only 16 months of fighting. The Camel was extremely agile and had a fast rate of climb. Although 'flown' once by Charlie Brown's dog "Snoopy", on TV, it's actual most controversial battle occurred in 1918, when the great Baron Von Richtofen fell to the guns of an RAF 209 Squadron Sopwith Camel flown by Canadian Capt. A. Roy Brown.
