The X58 class and its variants were the signature freight car for the railroad in its final years.  The Lehigh Valley also utilized 100 cars of this design.  The majority of the class survived through Penn Central into Conrail, and some received the Norfolk Southern livery at the beginning of the 21st century. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe body and underframe are injection molded plastic, with etched brass roofwalk, brake platform and end platforms.  Intricate and accurate detail is present throughout.
