All-new electrical cabinets and wiring, coupled with\u003cbr\u003eEMD’s EM2000 microprocessor controls, were installed, along\u003cbr\u003ewith D99BTR traction motors. A new split-cooling system helps\u003cbr\u003ethe SD60E meet Tier 0+ emissions requirements and reduce\u003cbr\u003efuel consumption by an estimated 5 percent as compared to\u003cbr\u003ean older SD60 model.
